Dryptosaurus (meaning to tear Lizard) is a medium
sized dinosaur. Dryptosaurus was discovered in 1866.
It was the first tyrannosaurid found. Dryptosaurus isclosley related to Eotyrannus.Before the discovery of Appalachiosaurus, Dryptosaurus was classified in a number of theropod families.
